New Times, New Team! |
New Team
Starting July 2, a new team of haulers — Garden
City Sanitation, California
Waste Solutions, and GreenWaste Recovery — will
provide garbage, recycling, yard trimmings, and street sweeping
services in most San José neighborhoods. GreenTeam customers
have no service changes.
New Trucks
Two separate trucks will collect garbage and recycling – a
white truck for garbage and a gray truck for recyclables. They
will come to your neighborhood at different times.
New Times
All collection and sweep days remain the same, but the
times of collection will be different.
Leave it out
- Place your garbage and recycling out by 6 a.m. on
your collection day to avoid a missed pick-up. Collection hours
are 6 a.m. to 6
p.m.
- This July, as drivers learn their new routes, leave your carts
out until they are emptied. This may be as late as 6 p.m. on
the day AFTER your collection day (including Saturdays).
When to call
Some services may be delayed during the month of July, as drivers
learn their new routes. Route supervisors and City staff will be
checking routes daily for any missed collections. If
any of your carts have not been emptied by 6 p.m. on the day AFTER
your regular collection day, call the appropriate hauler.
