  • Residential Biannual Survey 2007
This random digit dial survey of 400 residents is statistically significant in measuring resident satisfaction and participation in the curbside collection program.
  • Compost Focus Group 2002
This follow up focus group continued to identify motivations that residents would have to use compost. The awareness of compost was much higher than in 1998, and motivators such as garden beauty, and health of kids and pets were discussed. Messaging from this focus group will be used to present compost in terms of it’s potential value to residents.
  • Compost Focus Group 1998
This focus group was carried out to determine perceptions and understanding about composting and identify motivations that might exist for residents to use more compost. Key findings showed that residents were motivated to use and make compost as a way to protect the San Francisco Bay.
