Green building construction and renovation can significantly save schools energy, water, and facility costs. State funding for school construction and renovation encourages green building.

Green-built, high performance schools, result in lower teacher/student absence rates and higher test scores. Green-built schools can also reduce the energy and material consumption in buildings that contributes to global climate change.
