SECTION 2: Material Management

Note: Completion of this form fulfills the requirement for all events over 1,000 attendees, held on public property, and are open to the public, to provide a material management plan per San José Municipal Code section 9.10.1445.

For the questions below, indicate how materials will be managed to conserve resources and divert materials from landfill.


Example: Single-serve snack packaging, condiment packets, plastic table coverings, etc. from sources within and outside of the event grounds

In the fields below please provide information on the hauling and processing of waste materials from the event. Containers must be numerical and represent the number of cubic yards that the container will hold when full. To ensure proper submission, please place a “0” or “N/A” in fields that do not apply to your event.

1 Processing Facility: Facilities that are designed, operated, and permitted for the processing and transfer of solid waste, organic waste, and recyclable material.

A City-provided eco-station is a three-container material collection system for recyclables, compostables, and trash that includes containers, lids, and bags. See additional information on the Eco-station Loan Program.
