San Jose businesses can choose from any of the City's authorized franchised waste haulers to collect garbage and recyclables. This system provides better service and lower garbage bills.
   
   
2. DIFFERENT HAULERS FOR RECYCLING AND GARBAGE.
   Businesses can choose one hauler for garbage, another for recycling or one hauler for both. By using the list of city franchised waste haulers and recyclers, businesses can shop around for better garbage and recycling contracts.
   
   
3. NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS.
   San Jose businesses can cancel their solid waste service contracts with 30-days notice, after at least twelve months of service from their hauler.
   
   
4. NEGOTIATE A BETTER CONTRACT.
   Negotiate the best price and find the hauler and/or recycler that best suits the needs of your business.
