Draft EIR (DEIR) released for 45 day public comment period.
Single-Use Bags DEIR

November 17, 2010

Planning Commission reviews and approves DEIR and comments.

November 18, 2010

Citywide public meeting held prior to Council consideration of ordinance.

December 14, 2010

Council approves DEIR and ordinance.

January 1, 2012

The ban on plastic carryout bags at grocery, pharmacy and retail stores in San José begins.
