San José Bag Stakeholder Group
The San José Bag Stakeholder Group has met since February 2008 to discuss opportunities, evaluate best practices, and develop feasible policy options for increasing the use of reusable bags, and reducing the use of single-use paper and plastic bags. This group included representatives from various industries, environmental groups, and other Santa Clara County city affiliates. The San José Bag Stakeholder Group helped to develop reusable bag program elements which the County’s Recycling and Waste Reduction Commission recommended to various jurisdictions. |
